Jannik Sinner is the defending champion in the men’s singles and is looking to register back-to-back major titles after his Wimbledon triumph.

What is the start date for the US Open?
The start date for the US Open men’s singles and women’s singles is Sunday, August 24.
The Grand Slam tournament will come to an end on Sunday, September 7 – which is when the men’s singles final will be played.

How much is the US Open prize money?
The US Open will offer the largest purse in tennis history at $90m (£66.5m) this year.
The winners of the men’s singles and women’s singles will each earn $5m (£3.7m) – a 39 per cent increase from 2024.

The total pot of money on offer in men’s doubles and women’s doubles at the US Open is $4.78m (£3.6m) – an increase of 23 per cent from 2024.
The winners of the men’s doubles and women’s doubles will get $1m (£749,000) in prize money per team – the same as the mixed doubles.

Who are the US Open title favourites this year?

According to our friends at AceOdds, Sinner is the favourite to land the men’s singles trophy ahead of Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.
British No.1 Jack Draper, who reached the US Open semi-finals last year, is the sixth favourite at odds of 28/1.
