Marc Cucurella has shared a huge update on his Chelsea future after being linked with a shock transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
The left-back has established himself as one of Chelsea’s most dependable players and a fan-favourite since his £57million move from Brighton in 2022.
He played the most minutes of any Blues star last season, chipping in with seven goals and four assists as Enzo Maresca’s side won the Conference League and Club World Cup.
The Spain international has got off to a great start in the new campaign, assisting Chelsea’s opener in the 5-1 comeback win at West Ham on Friday night.
Unsurprisingly, there has been great interest in Cucurella over the summer, with reports claiming that Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr were planning to make a huge offer for the defender.

The Saudi side, whose squad also includes Liverpool legend Sadio Mane, have already done business with the Blues this summer, signing Joao Felix for an initial £26.2m.
It was said that Chelsea had no intention of letting Cucurella leave Stamford Bridge and it seems that feeling is mutual, with the player now revealing he has signed a contract extension.

‘Yes, it’s done. We already did it,’ the 27-year-old told Spanish media at the London Stadium after the West Ham win, as reported by BBC Sport.
‘I’m very happy, the club gave me the confidence and I’m very happy to be here. Hopefully I will have a great year.’
Cucurella’s previous deal ran until 2028 and an official announcement from the club is expected in due course.
Marc Cucurella praises ‘amazing’ Chelsea youngster

Chelsea’s big win at West Ham was somewhat overshadowed by an injury to Cole Palmer who was withdrawn from the starting XI during the warm-up.
His replacement, teenager Etevao Willian, made his full Premier League debut and impressed, teeing up Enzo Fernandez to score the third goal.
‘It was difficult because we practiced one thing and had to change very fast,’ Cucurella told Sky Sports post-match.
‘Estevao in this case played an amazing game, it’s very important because we have a good squad and all of us are ready at any time. We are very happy because we showed that we have a top team.
‘I think he’s very young but he’s shown that he is very mature. He makes good decisions and it’s a good thing.
‘All the new players came here to help the team and bring something good, good energy and good talent. We have an amazing squad and hopefully we can do good things this season.’
