Teil Duncan Hunley is the wife of PGA Tour star Russell Henley, who also has a flourishing art career. The couple has been married since 2015 and has three children.

1. She’s an accomplished artist
Duncan is a fairly well-known artist, who according to her website, does work that “infuses abstract elements, pixelated compositions and joyful color combinations no matter the subject.” Additionally, she also “infuses playful sophistication offering her audience paintings and patterns for their homes and lifestyles,’ and she’s “always working on a new collection of paintings, discussing new product categories to add intentional and joyful layers to the home and/or translating fresh ideas into textile and wallpaper.” At the moment, she does have one original painting up for sale on her site that is currently selling for $9,000.
2. She has more Instagram followers than Henley
Henley might be one of the most talented players and prolific earners on the PGA Tour, but he largely flies under the radar — as reflected by just more than 7,300 Instagram followers. Duncan, meanwhile, has an IG following of more than 113,000, and unsurprisingly, she uses the platform to showcase her art.
3. Mr. and Mrs. Henley are SEC rivals
Henley was a golf standout at the University of Georgia, and while she’s also a Georgia native, his wife is an Auburn Tiger. Duncan graduated in 2010, and the art alumna credits Auburn for honing and crafting (no pun intended) her passion for art.
“After I graduated from Auburn, I walked away with an art degree and immediately moved to Charleston,” she said in a feature for the school’s website. At the time, the economy was pretty bad, so the job opportunities were a bit limited. I worked a few odd jobs the first year, but I was always painting on the side and always working on commissioned jobs for extra income.”
4. Henley credits her for his success
The two met at Ducan’s sister’s wedding who married one of Henley’s childhood friends. Henley proposed just 10 months after their first date, and the couple was married in 2015. After winning the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational, Henley said of his wife “She puts steel in my spine.”
That came after she gave him a bit of a pep talk to get him on the right path.
“I felt the nudge to say, ‘Russ, if that is the attitude you are going to carry around, then we should just go home. Because it’s dog eat dog out here. These people want to beat you, they want to see you fail, so you have to be an animal. Otherwise, if you’re going to open that door to all the negativity, we might as well pack and go home,’” she told Golfweek in 2025. He got out of bed and said, ‘Thanks, I needed that.’”
5. She’s done all this as a mother of three
The Henleys have three children: a son, Robert, and two daughters, Ruth and Jane. All three were there to celebrate Henley’s win at the 2025 API, and Teil credits having children for helping her career, too.
“I actually started exploding with more ideas,” she told Synovus, per People. “I honestly don’t know how, maybe it was hormones? Motherhood just taps into so many new parts of your brain, so maybe it opened up new, creative pathways for me.”
