The bashing of Jerry Jones was not just confined to Dallas Cowboys fans on Thursday.
Micah Parsons’ brother Terrence Parsons was among those who crushed the Cowboys owner/general manager/football czar after they traded the two-time All-Pro EDGE rusher to the Green Bay Packers.
Parsons, of course, was dealt to the Packers for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark on Thursday. He held in for the entirety of training camp while seeking a new contract from the Cowboys.
But it ended up being the Packers that gave him a massive four-year contract with an annual average value of $47 million and $136 million in guaranteed money.
What Did Micah Parsons’ Brother Say About Him Being Traded To Green Bay?
Micah Parsons has not squawked publicly about what he went through with the Cowboys, but his brother shed some light on what he was trying to achieve through the trade request — while comparing the deal to the lopsided NBA trade where the Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
“This isnât even what Micah wanted is the sickening part of all this,” Terrence shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. “He just wanted respect in the negotiation process and Jerry wouldnât give it[;] sad year for Dallas, Micah and Luka.”
Terrence also opened the curtain on what also went down in contract negotiations between his brother and Jones.
“Just remember Micah being traded wasn[‘]t about money[.] it was about ego that led to this lol,” Terrence posted. “Jerry was willing to give Micah whatever he wanted as long as it was him and Micah negotiating thatâs what led to this. Insanity who gets the last laugh.”

When referencing the “last laugh,” Terrence clarified he meant for his brother and Mulugheta.
“lol all he had to do was go talk to Jerry and get what he felt he deserved,” Terrence tweeted, “he let the agent force Jerryâs hand. Micah always was gonna win in the end thatâs all that matters — had nothing to do with treatment on cowboys part just respect toward Micahâs agent is why we here.”
But even though Terrence admitted he was torn, since he had rooted for the Cowboys, he shared his pride in his brother’s ability to get paid.
“I canât be happier for Micah,” Terrence tweeted, “man he made history. Mixed emotions for me for sure, but 47 million is insane on 4 years man we celebrating for that.”
What Did Former Cowboys Say About The Trade?
While Micah and his brother were celebrating, other media members and Cowboys alumni were dumbfounded.
“I can’t believe this,” former Cowboys wideout Michael Irvin said. “I cannot believe we just traded Micah Parsons.”
Parsons’ predecessor DeMarcus Ware, who spent his first nine seasons with the Cowboys, simply had no words.

Doncic even weighed in, throwing shade at Mavericks GM Nico Harrison by saying “and I thought Nico was bad” on an Instagram post announcing the trade.
Yet, Micah himself took the high road by saying thanks to Cowboys fans and moving onto Green Bay.
