Kerry Katona scolded by police for stopping £200,000 Lamborghini in road for selfie

Kerry Katona was involved in quite the commotion this week when a very eager fan simply couldn’t wait to ask for a selfie.

The former pop star, 44, is no stranger to being stopped in public by her admirers, and when she’s cruising around in a vibrant green Lamborghini, she’s probably even more likely to attract attention.

So, when she was spotted by one man while cruising through a village in Cheshire, he jumped at the chance to snap a pic—quite literally.

Approaching Kerry in her flashy £200,000 motor, the fan is seen in a video running towards her, phone in his hand.

Opening his camera, he caused Kerry to slow down and stop so he could take the selfie while shouting began in the background.

Officers wasted no time in telling him to ‘get out of the road’, with Kerry heard saying, ‘quick!’ to the guy before zooming off.

The I’m A Celebrity icon throws her hand out of the window to wave him—and other now-gathered fans—off as he walks back to the pavement with a beaming smile.

‘What are you playing at?’, a police officer asks him, unimpressed.

‘I was trying to get a video for my missus,’ he replies.

‘By walking into the middle of the road and obstructing traffic?’, scolds the cop, schooling him on the dangers.

Something tells us the fan (and his missus) weren’t too fussed, though, as his excited expression said it all.

After the video was shared on Instagram by @supercars.of.alderley.edge.yt, many defended the gentleman, insisting that he ‘didn’t disrupt one bit of traffic’.

Another tagged Kerry’s page and joked about her ‘causing a nuisance’, with the reality TV queen liking the post.

Kerry’s latest outing in her expensive set of wheels comes after she opened up about her earnings at the start of her career—and they’re far from what you’d expect.

A long way off from being able to afford a Lamborghini in Atomic Kitten’s early days, the Whole Again hitmaker confessed to Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast that she was making £250 per week.

The Warrington-born singer was part of the initial lineup with Liz McClarnon and Heidi Range, with the latter replaced by Natasha Hamilton in 1999.

Reflecting on her stint in the trio, Kerry was probed on the so-called ‘poor management’ the group endured, replying: ‘Oh, we was only on like £250 a week.’

‘I left Atomic Kitten with 36 grand in my bank account and bought my mum a house and moved to Ireland. It was ridiculous; you’re given everything for free,’ she revealed.

Now in a very different position financially, Kerry is a millionaire again thanks to the explicit content she shares with paying subscribers on adult site OnlyFans.

Thousands are forking out £19.99 a month for her sexy snaps, which have transformed Kerry’s earnings after she was declared bankrupt in 2008 and 2013.

The money has not only helped her to purchase an ‘amazing’ new house but, of course, also her Lamborghini, which she debuted in July 2022.

Reflecting on being at her ‘lowest’, she showed the motor off to fans in an Insta video, adding: ‘How lucky am I to have two cars like this?’ I’ve worked really, really hard and I’ve been bankrupt twice, but I’ve grafted my a**e off.

‘I’ve worked hard for this. I’m not bragging; listen to what I’m saying.’

‘We had no Christmas presents, no furniture, but then the refuge dropped off a bag of second-hand stuff, and I was eternally grateful,’ Kerry said of her upbringing.

‘Now look what we’ve received.’

She vowed to continue to ‘keep fighting for another day’, wanting to ‘encourage other people out there that, if [she] can do it, anyone can do it.’

‘Believe in yourself and surround yourself with good people.’
