Channing Tatum Makes Rare Father-Daughter Appearance with Everly

Channing Tatum and Everly

Channing Tatum had a rare public father-daughter outing when he stepped out with Everly for the “Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle” premiere on September 9, People reported.

“Stories are important. They’re very, very, very important, and this one, specifically for me and my daughter, is very important,” he said of his soon-to-be 13-year-old.

Tatum revealed that Everly was a fan of the manga and thought her dad was “cool” for starring as martial artist Keizo in the animated film.

Everly and Tatum wore matching expressions on their faces as they posed for the cameras on the red carpet.

The tween wore a periwinkle blue dress with ruffles and had her hair in loose waves. Tatum was dressed casually in a navy blazer and pants combo, with a simple white t-shirt under his jacket.

The “Magic Mike” star shares Everly with his ex-wife and fellow actor, Jenna Dewan, whom he split from in 2018. Their divorce was finalized six years later.

Tatum has proven that he’s a cool dad. The actor revealed on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in August 2024 that he took Everly to Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour in Los Angeles.

“Seeing it with your daughter is very different because you gotta, like, go in,” he laughed. “I was dancing like I’ve never dance before.”

Referring to his moves on “Magic Mike,” Tatum added, “You also have to make sure you’re not dancing like you dance, you know what I mean?”

“I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance,” he said.

The “21 Jump Street” star also took Everly to Salem, Massachusetts, telling Meyers, “My daughter is obsessed with witches. “She’s been wanting to go to Salem maybe for the last seven years of her life.”

“We stayed at the second most-haunted hotel … and they were like don’t go to the third floor or the sixth floor, and I was like, ‘Not gonna do that at all,’” Tatum recalled.

However, Everly wanted to take a peek, which her father was adamantly against. “She loved it so much,” he gushed.

Tatum Leaned Into Being a Girl Dad

Tatum opened up about what it was like to raise a girl on his own after his divorce from Jenna Dewan. In an interview with Parents (via ET), he said, “When I became a single father, I had a lot of fear about connecting to Everly in every way that a little girl might want. I didn’t wear nail polish or know how to braid hair. But now I do both.”

“I paint my face, I wear tutus — rarely am I around the house without some sort of costume on. I jumped with both feet into this magical world, and I was rewarded with a kind of love that I don’t think I would have ever been able to have otherwise,” he shared.

Everly motivated Tatum to write his children’s book, “The One and Only Sparkella.” He told Parents, “Just like Sparkella, Evie loves to play tricks, wear crazy outfits, and be different from everyone. She’s bold, beautiful, and magical in every way.”
