Jason Kelce Sends NSFW Message to Eagles’ Jalen Carter After Spitting Incident

Jalen Carter has finally been fined for his actions, spitting on Dak Prescott. A video later surfaced that night showing that Prescott also spat on him during the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles game to open up the 2025-26 NFL season, but both of them are wrong.

Unfortunately for Carter, he’ll get the short end of the stick because there was complete proof suggesting that he spat right on Prescott.

But doing so never made sense for Carter. Even if he thought that Prescott spat on him, there were other ways for the Philadelphia Eagles star to go about things. The last thing any man should be doing to another man is spitting on each other, as it’s a blatant sign of disrespect. For the Dallas Cowboys, many didn’t take that lightly, including ownership, fans, and players.

Jason Kelce Calls Out Eagles’ Jalen Carter

But some Philadelphia Eagles former players also weren’t too happy about it. That includes Jason Kelce, who went on a rant about Carter for his actions. Kelce has understood the type of player he is and how much he means to the organization.

“I’m just like, ‘Why the expletive? What are we doing?’” Kelce said on his podcast. “It was just a very frustrating moment, not only because [Carter’s] one of our best players, but it’s just a really awful thing to be out there. It’s an awful thing to be a part of as a fanbase, as an organization.

“[Carter] has to be smarter than this, he has to be better than this. … He has a chance to be one of the best defensive linemen in this era of football. That’s how good this kid can be. That’s how dominant he has been to this point. Don’t let this dumb behavior jeopardize the career and person and legacy you can build. Especially in this city. … He’s taken accountability—now, moving forward, we need you to be better than that, Jalen. And you need to be better than that for yourself.”

Cowboys Couldn’t Take Advantage of Jalen Carter’s Absence

Unfortunately, the Dallas Cowboys couldn’t take advantage of a missed opportunity by Carter not being on the field. There’s a strong argument to be made that he’s the best defensive player on a star-studded Philadelphia Eagles defense, and certainly had an impact on what their defense did that night.

When speaking more about the situation, Kelce later added that it wasn’t just a bad thing to do out of respect, but that he could’ve made his impact felt on Prescott on the field instead of spitting on him.

For Kelce and everybody involved, that’s the best way to look at this thing. Carter had a chance to go out and make multiple plays against the Cowboys quarterback, but instead decided to spit on him, which could’ve cost his team.

“You got four quarters now to have Dak spitting towards you on your mind, to take that out on Tyler Booker,” continued Kelce. “That’s the beautiful thing about football, you don’t need to do that back. You got four quarters to do something back to this dude.”
