The Who to play final U.S. concert at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs

Legendary rock band The Who has announced the final stop of their bittersweet North American farewell tour, The Song Is Over. The show will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, marking the band’s last U.S. concert after nearly six decades of performing.

Before their Palm Springs finale, the band will share the stage with The Offspring for a special Los Angeles performance at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, Sept. 19.

Tickets for the Palm Springs show go on sale beginning with a Citi presale at citientertainment.com and through The Who Fan Club on Tuesday, Sept. 16. Additional presales will continue throughout the week before the general onsale opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at thewho.com/tour.

VIP packages will also be available, offering perks like access to pre-show soundcheck, entry to the VIP Lounge, and a limited-edition autographed poster.

The Who, fronted by guitarist Pete Townshend and vocalist Roger Daltrey, have long been considered one of the most influential acts in rock history. Known for a catalog of classics including “My Generation,” “Baba O’Riley,” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” the band has shaped generations of fans and inspired countless artists across genres.

The farewell tour comes after a decades-long run of landmark performances in the U.S. The Who’s first American appearance was in 1967 at “Murray the K’s Music in the Fifth Dimension” showcase in New York, followed by their career-making sets at the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock.

In 1982, they staged what was billed as their first farewell tour, only to return to the road in the late ’90s. Among their most memorable moments was their cathartic performance at Madison Square Garden in 2001 during the Concert for New York City, honoring emergency workers after 9/11.
