“American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe and his girlfriend, Leticia Cline, were hospitalized following a car accident on Friday, September 12. The incident took place on Highway 7 in Columbia, Tenn., while the two were driving in a vintage blue vehicle. Now, just days following the crash, Wolfe has been released from the hosipital.
Wolfe has been “discharged and is remaining by Leticiaâs side as she recovers,” Wolfe’s representatives told People on September 16. The reps also noted that the star had been treated for a broken nose, an injured knee and facial lacerations that required stitches.
Cline Needs More Time in the Hospital to Heal
While Wolfe has been released from the hospital, Cline needs more time and care to deal with the injuries she suffered during the car accident.
She initially noted that her “mouth will be wired shut,” according to People. Now, Wolfe’s representatives have explained the full extent of her injuries. They said that she’s healing from “fractures to her jaw, sternum, and ribs, as well as a partially collapsed lung.”
“She remains hospitalized and will undergo several surgeries once the swelling subsides,” the statement to People also said.
Cline has been updating her Instagram followers via her Stories. In various pics shared on September 16, she can be seen with her sister having her hair done, playing Backgammon, drinking tea to try to speed up her recovery and walking in the hospital hall with Wolfe by her side.
Wolfe & Cline Are Feeling ‘Grateful’
Despite the fact that Wolfe and Cline were involved in a car accident, the two are feeling “grateful.”
Indeed, the star’s representatives said that “the couple and their families are grateful for the swift response of first responders and the outpouring of support they have received during this difficult time.”
Fans have certainly stepped up to show that they care about the star and are thinking about him and Cline. One person took to Wolfe’s latest Instagram post to express their support, writing, “Were all praying for you and your amazing woman Mikey ðð¼ speedy recovery!!!”
“Get well soon! There will always be another ð,” someone else wrote. Yet another social media follower added, “Sending thoughts and prayersâ¦.wishing you and your partner a speedy recovery. ð”
“Sorry to hear about Leticia’s crash,” another fan wrote. “Glad you’re by her side. It’s important for us to support [our] partners. Good to hear you’re still a good man.”
Beyond the update on Wolfe and Cline, the reps noted that the pair “ask for privacy as Leticia continues her recovery.”
