Oliver Glasner has shared an injury update on Ismaila Sarr ahead of Crystal Palace’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The league leaders visit Selhurst Park on Saturday in what should be a cracking game between the league’s two remaining unbeaten sides.

And it was only just over a month ago that Palace defeated Liverpool on penalties in the Community Shield following a 2-2 draw.

The two teams are also set to meet again at Anfield in October in the Carabao Cup fourth-round, while Palace are currently on a 17-game unbeaten run that stretches back to April – one more and they tie the club record.

Sarr got a goal and an assist in the Wembley clash before scoring twice in Palace’s opening three Premier League games, but has been sidelined since then.

He hurt his hamstring during the 3-0 win at Aston Villa in August but Glasner later revealed that the forward would be back in training ahead of the Reds visit.

Asked if the Senegal international was available for the big clash, the manager said in his pre-match press conference: ‘He had the full training week, the same as Adam [Wharton] and Eddie [Nketiah].

‘We always nominate the squad when we think everybody is ready to start. I don’t know if he can play 90 minutes – I don’t know how intense the game will be – but he’s ready.

In another boost, the manager also confirmed that Yeremy Pino, the player signed to replace Eberechi Eze, was fine after being subbed off at half-time against West Ham last week with a painful knee injury.

‘[Pino] just had to rest on Tuesday. He had a bone bruise – he took a knock, knee on knee, which was very painful – but since Wednesday he’s been training for the rest of the week. He feels fine, so he’s also available.

‘So many players are available, more or less all players. It’s just Caleb Kporha who can’t train at the moment, and of course Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucouré.

‘Chadi looks like he will return around the next international break, so it’s good.’

Meanwhile, Liverpool have just one injury issue, though it is a big one, with teenager Giovanni Leoni set to be sidelined for nearly a year after tearing his ACL during the Carabao Cup win over Southampton.

Striker Hugo Ekitike, who opened the scoring in the Community Shield, cannot play at Selhurst Park after being shown a ‘stupid’ red card during the cup clash.
