The 23-year-old has started United’s last two games and was in contention for United’s trip to Brentford this Saturday.
‘Amad is not here, someone in his family passed away so we are giving all the support to Amad,’ Amorim said on Friday.
‘We understood that it was important to him to have his time to return home.’
Amad is one of four United players who will not be part of the squad to face Brentford, alongside the suspended Casemiro and long-term absentee Lisandro Martinez.
