A man was fatally shot Friday afternoon while inside a Chatham home, the police said.
The shooting happened about 5 p.m., in the first block of East 89th Street, according to Chicago police. While inside the home, the man was shot multiple times and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
A person of interest in the shooting was taken in for questioning, and officers recovered two weapons at the home, police said. The investigation remains ongoing.
