Big Brother viewers have been left devastated by the outcome of the first official eviction this series.

Of course, launch night also saw political campaigner Emily rushed straight out of the back door before she’d even had a chance to unpack her suitcase in a savage twist that seriously divided viewers.

And then, as the first full week in the house got underway, housemates Gani and Zelah were put up for eviction by latecomers George, Richard, Feyisola, and Cameron B.

Unfortunately for 39-year-old Pizza Hut manager Gani, his time in the BB abode has been short-lived, as a public vote to save saw him evicted tonight.

Zelah was the first housemate selected to face eviction, as the four newbies were tasked with handing an ‘evil eye’ to two fellow housemates.

They handed one to Zelah, who has left viewers in tears with his story about transitioning, just hours after entering the house, later regretting their choice and asking if it would be possible to change.

Having interviewed the rest of the house to inform their decision, the group then chose Dua Lipa fanatic Gani as their second potential evictee, giving him the ‘evil eye’ amid concerns he was playing up to the cameras.

Needless to say, tonight’s eviction wasn’t totally smooth sailing, as while the eviction was initially supposed to be live, Storm Amy had other plans.

The adverse weather conditions forced bosses to cancel their original broadcast, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best instead taking charge from the Late & Live studio.

Evictee Gani then left in a much more anticlimactic way than he probably hoped for, walking out through the back door and joining the spin-off show for an interview.

Speaking to the two presenters about his exit, Gani assured them that he couldn’t have been acting up to the cameras ’24/7′, insisting that his friends ‘know him’ and who he truly is.

‘This is me, guys!’, he declared when questioned on his authenticity.

When asked what his BB experience meant to him, Gani could barely form a sentence, squealing out: ‘Oh my God, you guys won’t believe it … I can’t.’

GANI, 39 SOUTH LONDON, PIZZA SHOP MANAGER image.png Why did you apply to be on this new series of Big Brother? I?d like to be known by millions. I see this as an opportunity not only for my personal growth, but also to help build the future of my personal brand. And on a personal level, being without a phone will be an impressive psychological experiment ? one that I believe will teach me even more about myself. What do you think you?ll bring to the House? I am energy. I've been told that wherever I go there is a light; the atmosphere totally changes. I'll definitely bring the happy vibe to the House. What are you looking forward to the most about being a Housemate? I want to enjoy the experience throughout the journey and win the money. Do you have a strategy for making it to the final? I don?t think so. I think the best strategy is to just be myself. Being myself will take me far. What are you most likely to get nominated for? I?ve never really thought about it. Sometimes if I find something annoying, I will speak my mind - but in the nicest possible way. When I?m triggered, I can raise my voice, and the other housemates may think that I'm being rude. It?ll either be that or that I?m speaking too much. Tell us one thing about yourself you think will surprise people the most. Everyone who sees my social media thinks I have a very quiet attitude, which they say comes across as possibly arrogant. But when they actually meet me, they quickly change their minds and realise I?m quite lovely. What would you do with the money if you won? I have got a plan. When I win the money, I?ll separate it into three portions. One goes for financial stability, one goes to my business and one goes to a deposit for a house. And then I will look to give some money to charity. ENDS
