Bills’ Superstar Delivers Message to Stefon Diggs Upon Week 5 Return to Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills are set for an exciting showdown this week onSunday Night Footballas they take on the New England Patriots.

As the Patriots step onto the field, fans will be in for a treat as wide receiver Stefon Diggs makes his return to Buffalo.

Diggs spent four seasons in Buffalo before being traded to the Houston Texans last offseason.

The 31-year-old receiver had a significant impact on many Bills players, and defensive tackle Ed Oliver can’t wait to see his former teammate.

“Just knowing who he is, knowing the competitor that he is, he’s going to be amped up and excited,Oliver said on Wednesday about Diggs returning to Buffalo, via Dan Fetes.

Diggs Had a Huge Role With the Bills

Diggs was the heart and soul of Buffalo’s offense from 2020 to 2023. In 66 games with the Bills, Diggs recorded 5,372 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns.

One of the most significant achievements on Stefon Diggs’ resume is his role in transforming Josh Allen into one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

The year before Diggs arrived in Buffalo, Allen struggled a bit. He threw for 3,089 yards, racked up 20 touchdowns, but also tossed nine interceptions, all while finishing with a completion percentage of 58.8%.

When Diggs arrived the following season, a lot changed for Allen. He threw for 4,544 yards, 37 touchdowns, and a completion percentage of 69.2.

If it weren’t for Diggs, there is a chance Allen would have never become the quarterback that he is today.

Diggs is Excited to Return to Buffalo

It’s going to be exciting to see Diggs step back in Orchard Park, and it seems like he can’t wait for Sunday.

“Obviously, it was hard for me; it was a difficult time,Diggs said on returning to Buffalo, via Adam Zientek.I spent so much time there, built a lot of bonds, a lot of friendships. So it’s obviously going to be hard and emotional. So, for me, I look forward to going back and seeing those guys. And you know, it’s just the nature of the business, I’m not in control of nothing. I get open, I catch the ball, but as far as the internal stuff, obviously, I miss those guys over there.

“Me being there before obviously people are going to make that a huge thing, and it is a huge thing for me,Diggs added.I got a lot of respect and I got a lot of love for that city and that fan base and even the players over there. It’s going to be so nice to see those guys for me. I try to be as professional, obviously, I hold them near and dear to my heart. Football means a lot to me, and the guys that I spent a lot of time over there, I’m going to give them a big hug.”

Oliver is Questionable Heading Into Week 5

Many players are excited to see Diggs return to where his career took off. Oliver, who seems happy to be going up against Diggs this week, needs to ensure he is on the field.

The 27-year-old defensive tackle has missed the last three games due to an ankle injury. Oliver was back at practice this week but remains questionable heading into Sunday.

It would be beneficial for Buffalo’s defense to have Oliver back and help start to shut down opposing running attacks, as it has given up six yards per carry this season.
