Maggie Wheeler Shares What Henry Jaglom Meant to Her
Many have paid their respects to Jaglom, who was considered an original and a legend in Hollywood. Wheeler shared a photo collage on Instagram on September 25. The images include one of her and Jaglom posing together, as well as another from a film poster for the 1989 film âNew Yearâs Day.” The film stars Wheeler and David Duchovny.Â
In the caption, Wheeler shared her thoughts, reflecting on how she met Jaglom, quite by chance, on the night that âThe New Show,â which she was working on, got canceled. âI was planning to move to Los Angeles, sublet a friendâs apartment and give Hollywood a go,â she wrote. âI was in a relationship that was ending, my job had ended, and I was leaving New York City to live elsewhere for the first time. @hjaglom was a deeply inquisitive person and before long we knew a great deal about each other.”
She accepted Jaglom’s invitation to visit him in Los Angeles, where she had the opportunity to see the editing room and witness the process that went into creating films. At the time, he was working on the 1985 film, “Always.” Wheeler called the experience “an extraordinary education.â
