Bills Make Historic Josh Allen Announcement Before Patriots Game

The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots are gearing up to go head-to-head during Sunday Night Football on October 5, and while the Patriots’ stats aren’t what they were during the Brady era, they’re still a solid team and worth competitors. The Bills know better than to consider this game an easy win, so they’re turning up the heat for this game and also making a big deal about the team wearing white uniforms for the occasion.

The Bills and Patriots are a rivalry, after all, and they’re continue to be a rivalry for decades to come. Buffalo is also coming out of a significant win over the New Orleans Saints last weekend, 31-19, so they’re in good spirits.

Now, the Buffalo Bills have made a special announcement about their MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen. It’s no secret that Allen has been playing some of the best games of his career this season, and if he continues to do so, he could be making history very soon.

If Allen has another good game against the New England Patriots, he could go down in herstory for more reasons than one. According to the Buffalo Bills’ PR account on X, Allen is the first reigning MVP to start 4-0 since Patrick Mahomes in 2019, and if he wins this week, he’ll become the first reigning MVP to start 5-0 since Aaron Rodgers did so in 2015.

It doesn’t stop there. Allen can also become the fourth player in the Super Bowl era to complete 70 percent of his passes and multiple passing touchdowns.

So, Allen is poised to make a lot of history tonight and rock it like the song “We Will Rock You,” if the wind blows his way. He breaks new records almost each weekend, so why would this weekend by any different?

Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen Gets Props From the Patriots

Even though the Patriots are not the Buffalo Bills‘ friends this weekend, New England head coach Mike Vrabel has been saying some glowing things about Allen. Leading up to the game, on Wednesday, October 1, the media asked Vrabel about Allen and how he’s prepping to handle him. plans to take him on.

“Well, I mean, I think he realized that he’s got immense talent, and I think he’s done a much better job of taking care of the football,” Vrabel said, speaking to the press.

He added, “And really that’s been the big difference for me. Just watching it from afar, a few years ago, forcing things in the red zone, and that led to some turnovers, some interceptions. And now I think he just has a greater understanding of taking care of the football in those situations. And they’re still scoring touchdowns.”

He also discussed Allen’s style of playing, saying, “Even when guys are free, he makes a miss. He spins or he’ll extend out past the numbers to the red line and continue to make plays down the field. Or, heaven forbid, he scrambles up the middle and makes a move on a guy like he’s done in the past in the last couple weeks or breaks the stiff arm out.”

Allen will be using his talents against the Patriots tonight and their quarterback, Drake Maye. It’s one of the NFL’s favorite rivalries.
