While enjoying Paris Fashion Week, Emma Watson was spotted with her own statement piece — a sparkling diamond ring.

The ring has sparked speculation Emma, 35, is now engaged to her boyfriend Kieran Brown, 30, who she met at university.

The couple have kept things private, but it’s thought the Little Women star and Kieran, who is studying for his PhD, have been together for over a year.

The former child star took a break from studying for her master’s degree at Oxford and headed to the Miu Miu show at the Palais d’lena.

Emma kept her look simple with an on-trend brown suede jacket, nude shift dress, and black bag, with her hair down and only one glittering jewel on show.

She casually flashed the vintage-style ring, which featured a huge gem in the centre, to the cameras when she arrived in her understated look.

Just last month, Emma had voiced concern over the pressure to marry still placed on women, saying it is ‘violence and cruelty’.

However, the Harry Potter actress added to Jay Shetty that while she hopes she will get married, she does not ‘feel entitled to it’.

‘It will either be part of my purpose here and my destiny, or it won’t,’ Emma explained.

During the same interview, she discussed her ‘complicated’ feelings towards Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

Last year, a rift between the 60-year-old author and the trio who carried her story on the big screen for a decade opened amid trans rights rows.

Rowling said celebrities who voiced support for trans people could ‘save their apologies’, including Emma and her co-stars Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe.

For the first time, Emma spoke out about her relationship with the writer, who now also uses the male pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

‘I think the thing I’m most upset about is that a conversation was never made possible,’ she shared, adding she ‘always will’ be open to that conversation.

‘I just don’t want to say anything that continues to weaponise a really toxic debate and conversation, which is maybe why I don’t – it is why I don’t – comment or continue to comment.

‘Not because I don’t care about her or the issue, but because the way the conversation is being had feels really painful to me. And so that’s why that decision.’

In response, Rowling shared a video mocking the actress and then wrote: ‘‘I’m not owed eternal agreement from any actor who once played a character I created. The idea is as ludicrous as me checking with the boss I had when I was twenty-one for what opinions I should hold these days.

‘Emma Watson and her co-stars have every right to embrace gender identity ideology. Such beliefs are legally protected, and I wouldn’t want to see any of them threatened with loss of work, or violence, or death, because of them.’

Then she added that ‘Emma and Dan in particular have both made it clear over the last few years that they think our former professional association gives them a particular right – nay, obligation – to critique me and my views in public.’

In the lengthy post, she then called Emma ‘privileged’ for having become ‘a multimillionaire at fourteen’, noting she couldn’t understand poverty or ‘needing a woman’s shelter’.

Rowling is now worth an estimated £945million thanks to Potter, with the Hermione actress worth around £85million.

In May last year, leading man Daniel confessed: ‘It makes me really sad, ultimately, because I do look at the person that I met, the times that we met, and the books that she wrote, and the world that she created, and all of that is to me so deeply empathic.

He continued to the Atlantic: ‘Jo, obviously Harry Potter would not have happened without her, so nothing in my life would have probably happened the way it is without that person.

‘But that doesn’t mean that you owe the things you truly believe to someone else for your entire life.’

He has been a longstanding supporter of the Trevor Project, a LGBTQ suicide-prevention hotline and crisis-intervention resource.

Meanwhile, Emma has been the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador since 2014 and launched The HeForShe campaign, which is striving for gender equality.
