An awkward moment involving Taylor Swift was reportedly cut from the final edit of The Graham Norton Show last week.

Last Friday, the global pop star, 34, was among the guests on the orange couch promoting her newest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Joining the star on the popular BBC chatshow was Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhall Gleeson and musical guest Lewis Capaldi.

The show was full of hilarious moments including Cillian’s nonplussed reaction to Taylor’s huge engagement ring, and the moment Cillian’s lookalike son made a brief on-screen appearance.

However, there was reportedly a slightly less funny moment that was scrapped from the final edit, involving the pop star and Jodie.

A Swift fan who attended the recording claimed online that Jodie asked Taylor if she planned on having any children.

To this, Graham reportedly quickly stopped Taylor from having to answer, as he said that was a conversation to take place away from cameras.

However, Jodie has seemingly shut down these rumours as she shared backstage snaps from The Graham Norton Show with a gushing message about the star and her time on the show.

In the TikTok shared by Sammie Nicole, she revealed the details of how this conversations took place.

‘This is a big one. When I was watching it I was like “Oh, they cut that out!” Which I’m not surprised that they did,’ she began.

‘There was a part when Graham was talking to Taylor about the upcoming wedding and planning it, and one of the other guests, Jodie, said to Taylor, “And what about babies?”

‘Now I know what she meant, she was asking Taylor, “Are you going to have babies soon?” But Taylor thought she was asking if babies were coming to the wedding, so Taylor went, “Oh no under-18s are coming, just adults!”

‘I feel that should have been the end of it, but it wasn’t, because Jodie then said, “No, no I mean are you going to have babies?”,’ she said, adding that it felt uncomfortable to ask someone that in such a public space.

She then added:  ‘Anyway, Graham was so on top of it. Instantly, he went, “That’s an off-camera conversation to have.” And then they moved on. So that was a big one that got cut out.’

Metro has reached out to The Graham Norton Show and Jodie Turner-Smith for comment.
