The New York Giants put on a show on Thursday Night Football, as quarterback Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Skattebo, and Big Blue got their revenge on the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and ex-RB Saquon Barkley on live television with all of America watching.
After the victory, however, Skattebo wasn’t willing to make it about Barkley, who promoted his new tell-all documentary before the game.
“Yeah, I mean, props to him. He’s a great player,” Skattebo said of Barkley during a postgame chat with reporters (shared via SNY). “No disrespect at all, it was an Eagles vs. Giants [matchup] tonight. It wasn’t a Skatt vs. Saquon, it was Eagles vs. Giants, and that’s how it’s going to stay.”
“Props to him, he’s a great player. We all know that. We know he’s one of the best in the league,” Skattebo continued. Adding: “We ended up winning tonight, so that’s what matters.”
Despite all the chatter off the field from Barkley and the Eagles, the Giants did their talking on the field. This quote shows that Skattebo gets that.
And, in turn, Giants fans responded. This SNY post has over 36,000 likes and 1.7 million views in under 12 hours, meaning it has officially gone viral on social media.

Skattebo refused to make it about Barkley, but Giants fans weren’t willing to do the same. After Week 6, the NYG faithful trolled their former superstar mercilessly on social media.
“Saquon Barkley and his reps thought it would be a great idea to release his documentary about how the Giants hurt his feelings, on a night they expected to roll over and embarrass his former team,” one fan wrote. “Instead, he got his [expletive] handed to him and outplayed in a loss by a rookie.”
Another said: “Saquon Barkley released his documentary trashing the Giants on October 9th, the day he returned to MetLife. He then went on to get blown out by the Giants and get thoroughly outplayed by their rookie running back. Tough look.”
While a third expressed that “Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley are nice guys but what a snooze they were… these guys [Dart and Skattebo] are fun.”
Even the Sleeper fantasy football app got in on the fun, joking: “Greatest RB in the NFL and Saquon Barkley.”
Finally, one last fan wrote, “Saquon Barkley ‘revenge game’ and all he did was put his hands on his QBs [expletive] a couple times,” referencing the “Tush Push.”
Skattebo finished Week 6 with 19 carries for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns, as well as 12 receiving yards. Barkley ended the loss with 12 carries for 58 yards and zero touchdowns, along with 9 receiving yards.
Giants RB Cam Skattebo’s Truck Stick on Eagles LB Zack Baun Goes Viral, Too
Skattebo’s postgame comments weren’t the only thing that went viral after Week 6. His “truck stick” hit on Eagles linebacker Zack Baun just achieved that label, too, in a post shared by ex-NFL player turned analyst Emmanuel Acho.
“OMG!!! Somebody tell Cam Skattebo that Zack Baun has a family!!! RELAAAAAX 😳😳,” Acho wrote, sharing the moment from Week 6.
