Taylor Swift Announces Historic News After Chiefs Game

It’s been a big weekend for the Kansas City Chiefs, because they took on the bad boys of the Detroit Lions during Sunday Night Football on October 12 and brought home a win, final score of 30-17. It was an action-packed game, filled with fiery moments, especially after the game. When the clock went down to zero, Detroit Lions player Brian Branch snubbed Mahomes and appeared to slap Chiefs player Juju Smith-Schuster across the face, which was a terrible moment for all involved.

But, back to the fin. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce both had big nights, and Mahomes made NFL history with his six-yard pass to Chiefs star Xavier Worthy. With that pass, he became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 300 career touchdown passes, including the postseason.

Kelce’s soon-to-be-wife Taylor Swift was also at the game. Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium with WNBA star Caitlin Clark, who was seen in the VIP suite talking with Taylor and Kelce’s father, Ed, during the matchup. Then, after the game, Swift dropped some exciting news.


Big News From Taylor Swift After Chiefs Game

The morning after the Chiefs game, Swift made a big announcement. Swift is closing out an era with an all-new documentary series, plus a full version of her “Eras Tour” concert film, at the end of this year. Swift wrapped up her week-long promo for her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” with the news.

Swift Swift is releasing a six-episode series giving listeners an inside look at her historic “Eras Tour.” The series will be feature a complete version of her “Eras Tour” concert movie that highlights her “Tortured Poets Department” set.

As for when it see the series, two episodes of the docuseries will debut on Disney+ each week starting December 12. Also, the full-length concert film will be available on streaming services also on December 12.

“We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down,” Swift stated in a Monday, October 13 post on Instagram.


Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce Makes an Appearance in Docuseries

Oh, by the way, Kelce is in the teaser clip for the docuseries, too. Clips show Swift and Kelce snuggled up together behind the scenes, as well as some of Kelce’s appearances on the stage with her on tour.

In a release, Disney+ says “The End of an Era” docuseries follows “the development, impact, and inner-workings that created the phenomenon that was The Eras Tour” and offers an “intimate look” at Swift. The release adds that the docuseries will also feature appearances from Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch, among others.

Swift is pop, but musicians from across the musical spectrum respect her music and worth ethic. “The Eras Tour” started in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and wrapped up in Vancouver in December 2024. Swift played 149 shows in 51 cities across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia on the trek, and it was named the highest grossing tour of all time.
