SACRAMENTO — John Collins had 24 points, Brook Lopez scored 16 and Kawhi Leonard added 15 as the Clippers rolled to a 109-91 victory over the Sacramento Kings in a preseason game on Wednesday night at the Golden 1 Center.
The Clippers (2-1) led by 20 points at halftime and by 29 after three quarters before cruising across the finish line in their second-to-last exhibition game.
Collins shot 7 for 8 from the field (2 for 2 from 3-point range) and 8 for 10 from the free-throw line to go with six rebounds in 18 minutes.
Lopez shot 6 for 8 from the field, going 4 for 5 from behind the arc, in 18 minutes.
Leonard shot 5 for 13 overall (0 for 4 from 3-point range) and made all five of his free throws in 27 minutes.
Derrick Jones Jr. added 12 points in 23 minutes for the Clippers, while Chris Paul had eight points and a team-high 10 assists in 18 minutes and James Harden added eight points on 4-of-10 shooting (0 for 6 from 3-point range) in 23 minutes. Jordan Miller joined the starting lineup and had seven points and five rebounds in 16 minutes.
Domantas Sabonis had 15 points, 14 rebounds and five assists for the Kings (0-3), who played without Keegan Murray and former league MVP Russell Westbrook, who has reportedly agreed to a deal to join the team. Zach LaVine added 13 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Nique Clifford had a team-best 19 points off the bench.
The Clippers shot 50.6% from the field (40 for 79), including 35.5% (11 for 31) from behind the arc, while the Kings shot 40.9% overall (38 for 93) and 21.4% (9 for 42) from 3-point range.
The Clippers face the Golden State Warriors in their preseason finale on Friday night in San Francisco, then open the regular season next Wednesday with a road game against the Utah Jazz.
