Italian TV star and model Pamela Genini ‘stabbed to death by ex on balcony’

Before he could get into the building, Pamela managed to send a message to a friend who called emergency services. When officers arrived, Pamela reportedly used the code word ?Glovo? to make the suspect believe she was receiving a food delivery. But Soncin allegedly turned violent and grabbed a kitchen knife. As police made their way up the stairs, Pamela ran out onto her balcony, where Soncin reportedly stabbed her multiple times in front of horrified onlookers. By the time officers smashed down the front door, the model was lying in a pool of blood. The suspect then apparently tried to take his own life by stabbing himself twice in the throat in front of police. He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he remains in custody, as reported by NeedToKnow. The pair had been in a relationship for about a year before their split. Friends described them as opposites - Pamela was outgoing and always seen with her chihuahua, while Soncin was said to be quiet and reserved. Although they didn?t live together, he was often seen visiting her apartment in the Milan district of Gorla in Italy. Pamela was a former child model who turned professional at 16. She appeared on a Love Island-style dating show called L?isola di Adamo ed Eva when she was 19. The 29-year-old went on to work as a luxury real estate agent and launched her own bikini brand, EP SheLux, a few years ago. Pamela split her time between Milan, Monte Carlo and Dubai, but often returned to visit family in her hometown of Strozza, in Italy?s Bergamo Province. She was a regular on the red carpet at glitzy events such as the Venice Film Festival - usually accompanied by her beloved chihuahua, Bianca. An investigation into her death is ongoing. Pamela?s friend and business partner Elisa Barolotti said: ?I just hope there is justice and you pay for taking away someone who was a sister to me. ?Goodbye Pam, we won?t grow old together. ?You will never grow old. ?I love you, my friend.? Pamela Genini, a model and TV star, has reportedly been killed in her Milan flat following a dispute with her former boyfriend.

Genini, from the Italian province of Bergamo, was found in critical condition on the terrace when officers arrived yesterday evening.

Gianluca Soncin, 52, her ex, is accused of stabbing her to death.

He used a copy of her key to enter her home on Via Iglesias in the 
Gorla neighbourhood.

Genini secretly phoned the police after Soncin arrived at her third-floor home to beg her to take him back.

Genini, 29, managed to let police in when they rang her intercom by telling Soncin, ‘It’s Glovo,’ an Italian food delivery service

She had been allegedly stabbed nearly two dozen times by Soncin, police said, according to the Il Fatto Quotidiano.

Genini suffered injuries to her neck, back, chest, upper limbs, and hands, prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo said.

Soncin is alleged to have injured himself in the neck twice when police arrived. He remains in serious condition at the hospital, the Italian news agency Ansa reported.

Genini founded the beachwear line EP SheLux with friend Elisa Bartolotti.

She’s described on the brand’s website as ‘a model and young entrepreneur who enjoys challenging herself by thinking outside the box’.

Marcella Cannariato, the CEO of an Italian brokerage voted Forbes Top 100 Italian Women, paid tribute to Genini. She said on Instagram that Genini is the 17th victim of femicide in Italy this year.

‘And the year is not over yet,’ she said, adding: ‘How many more times will we have to read these news before we understand that these are not isolated cases, but a culture of possession, domination and silence?

‘For years I’ve been working to support women, to give them tools, networks, and a voice. But until we change the system, until we make the prevention protocols really effective, until the fear of a woman is treated as an exaggeration, we will continue to cry.

‘And I’m done with it. Pamela, your name will stay with us. In the memory. But also in action.’

At least 109 women were killed in Italy in 2023; more than half were murdered by a partner or an ex-partner, according to the statistics agency Istat.
