NFL Legend Isn’t Ready to Hit Panic Yet on Bills Offense

The Buffalo Bills offense has struggled in the last two games, managing to score just 20 points in Week 5 against the New England Patriots and only 14 points this past Monday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Buffalo lost both of those games, bringing its record to 4-2 and placing it in second place in the AFC East. The Patriots currently hold the top spot due to beating the Bills in their head-to-head matchup.

One former Patritos player isn’t impressed with what he’s seen from the Bills offense so far this season.

Rob Gronkowski Won’t Panic on Bills Offesne Yet

Tight End Rob Gronkowski played nine seasons for New England and was a Bills fan growing up. He also isn’t high on the Philadelphia Eagles offense, which has struggled to score over the last few weeks. But he’s a little more concerned with the Eagles than the Bills for a few reasons.

“I would say I’m more concerned with the Eagles just because their offense looks so stale,” Gronkowski said Wednesday on “Up & Adams”. With the Buffalo Bills, we’ve seen their offense really come alive in the first couple of weeks. They scored 40-plus points in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, who were a tough team at the time.”

Gronkowski is right; the Bills’ offense has looked good at times this season, but they have done it against weaker defenses like the Ravens, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and New Orleans Saints.

Both New England and Atlanta, known for its strong defenses, managed to figure things out against Buffalo. This is concerning for the Bills, as they’ll likely encounter similar defensive challenges when the playoffs roll around.

It’s too early to hit the alarm on Buffalo’s offense since it’s only had two bad weeks, but if it keeps up the trend, it could be looking at a chance to lose the AFC East.

New England’s current performance looks great, and it benefits from having a last-place schedule since it finished last in the division in 2024.

The Bills used to have to worry about beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason; now they need to worry about losing the division to an up-and-coming team.

Some people even think the Bills’ Super Bowl window has closed, like Fox Sports’ radio host Colin Cowherd.

Is Buffalo’s Super Bowl Window Closed

“I watch Buffalo after watching the Kansas City Chiefs over the last couple of weeks, Cowherd said on Tuesday. “Buffalo’s not competing with Kansas City. The Detroit Lions are an excellent team up and down the field. Buffalo’s not stopping that. Turn the sound down and watch Buffalo take out Josh Allen. There are not enough weapons now.”

“They’re losing to good teams,” Cowherd added. “The New England Patriots are a good team. New England feels like a playoff team. The Bills lost to them at home. The Falcons might not be a playoff team. They almost had 500 yards. Michael Penix was totally comfortable. There was about a two-to-three-year window with Josh, but they still had a pretty good secondary; maybe it’s closed.”

As long as the Bills have Josh Allen playing at an elite level, the Bills will always have a chance to win the Super Bowl, but if the players around him don’t start to step up, then there could be a few issues moving forward.
