A pedestrian was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run crash in Arleta.
The collision happened around 5:30 a.m. when a silver Honda Civic headed northbound on Arleta Avenue at Wentworth Street struck a person on foot. The Civic’s driver failed to stop, as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department transferred the man to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to authorities. He was identified as a 57-year-old male resident of Arleta.
Authorities asked anyone with information to contact the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
