The 42-year-old man who crashed into a motorcycle in Aurora last November, killing the rider, took a deal and pleaded guilty Monday, court records show.
Jeremy Austen House pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in a deal that dropped the charge of first-degree murder from his case, according to Arapahoe County court records.
House was driving a 2000 Buick Century near South Havana Street and East Jewell Avenue just after midnight on Nov. 18, 2024, when he hit a motorcyclist, Aurora police said. House then fled the scene.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist, 34-year-old Dorian Matthew Torrez, to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators identified House and Alexandra Lynn Noorlun, 33, as suspects in the case and arrested the pair in February, after an hours-long barricade standoff at their home in the 12200 block of East Kansas Place.
Noorlun faces three felony charges, including two counts of being an accessory to a crime and one count of tampering with evidence, according to court records. She is next scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment hearing on Nov. 17.
House will next appear in court for a sentencing hearing on Dec. 8, court records show.
