CeeDee Lamb Drops Bold Take on 2025 Cowboys Offense: ‘Best Offense I’ve Ever Been Part Of’

The Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb wasted no time reminding everyone why he’s the team’s top offensive weapon. In his first game back since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, the All-Pro wide receiver hauled in five catches for 110 yards in a 44–22 win over the Washington Commanders. It marked his third straight 100-yard game this season and made him the fastest receiver in franchise history to reach 7,000 scrimmage yards, doing so in just 85 games.

CeeDee Lamb Makes NFL History in Return From Injury

The biggest highlight of the day came when Lamb reunited with fellow wideout George Pickens for a 74-yard touchdown. After the play, the two ran side by side into the end zone — a moment that symbolized just how explosive the Cowboys’ offense can be when both stars are on the field.

“We talk about this every day. Just grateful for each other, we compete with each other every day,” Lamb said postgame, via the team’s official website. “I feel like the best part about it is we want each other to win the most.”

Dallas acquired Pickens in the offseason to form one of the league’s most dangerous receiving duos, and while Lamb was sidelined, Pickens carried the load with five touchdowns and a pair of 100-yard performances. Now that they’re both healthy again, the Cowboys’ offense looks unstoppable.

“It’s exciting, man,” Lamb said about returning to the lineup. “Watching my dog go crazy for the last few weeks, I’m pretty sure he enjoyed it. But just taking the load off of him a little bit, making him play true to the offense and what we’ve got going. It’s funI’ll always be motivated, but I love to see him do his thing. That’s why we brought him here.”

Cowboys Offense Ranked Among NFL’s Best

The Cowboys’ offensive success hasn’t gone unnoticed. Dallas currently leads the league in total offense and ranks second in both scoring and passing yards. The team has scored 40 or more points in three games this season — numbers that haven’t been seen in Dallas since the mid-1990s.

After six seasons in the league, Lamb has seen plenty of offensive talent come through Dallas, but he said this 2025 squad stands above the rest.

“This one is the best one I’ve been on, and I’ve been on some great ones,” Lamb said. “It’s just the way that we can move around these pieces, these players, and everybody everywhere. We can line up faster than any. It’s tough.”

That chemistry extends to the man leading the offense — quarterback Dak Prescott, who has thrown 13 touchdowns without an interception over the last four games. Lamb called it the best quarterback play he’s seen from Prescott in their time together.

“I swear he’s going to continue to do that,” Lamb said. “Again, it’s only Week 7, still got plenty more to go, so much more work to do. We’ve got to be better as an offense, there’s some meat on the bone we left out there and I feel like we can get better.”

He also acknowledged the outside noise that often surrounds the Cowboys’ signal-caller. “All the critics that was going on, you don’t hear too much going on now. Now they’re just waiting on something, that’s just how it is,” Lamb said. “For him, I know it’s tough. Just being the quarterback of this franchise is a big burden, but there’s a lot of people quiet now, so I guess it’s pretty good.”

CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys Look Ahead to Denver Showdown

The Cowboys, now 3–3–1, will hit the road next to face the Denver Broncos, who lead the league in sacks and rank third in total defense. While Dallas cruised to victory over Washington, Denver pulled off a stunning 33–32 comeback win over the New York Giants, scoring all 33 of their points in the fourth quarter.

The Broncos enter Sunday’s matchup at 5–2, giving Dallas a serious test as Lamb and Prescott aim to keep their offensive rhythm rolling.

If their chemistry with Pickens continues, the Cowboys could quickly go from early-season question marks to legitimate NFC contenders.

As Lamb put it best, “We’ve got the pieces, we’ve got the energy, and now we’re putting it all together. It’s the best offense I’ve ever been part of — and we’re not even close to done.”
