Kim Kardashian reveals she suffered a brain aneurysm during Kanye West divorce

Kim Kardashian has opened up about a health scare possibly triggered by the strain of her divorce from Kanye West.

In a new teaser for the upcoming season of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality star is seen undergoing an MRI scan before revealing to her family that doctors had found a small brain aneurysm.

‘There was a little aneurysm,’ she tells them in the clip, prompting a shocked reaction from her sister Kourtney.

When asked what had caused it, Kim says doctors told her simply, ‘Just stress.’

The moment comes as part of a larger storyline showing the immense pressure she’s been under – juggling law school, parenthood, and, most of all, the public fallout from her split with West, the father of her four children.

Footage shows Kim breaking down as she studies for the bar exam and reflecting on how the end of her marriage affected her well-being.

‘I’m happy it’s over,’ she says in the preview. ‘My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.’

Later, she’s shown sitting at a dinner table, questioning aloud, ‘Last night I was like, why the f— is this happening?’

In the season premiere, she also shared that her psoriasis – a skin condition she’s battled for years – recently flared up again after a long remission.

‘I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back,’ she said. ‘I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.’

That protection, she explained, refers to shielding her children – North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 – from some of the controversies surrounding their father.

‘They’re gonna know things,’ Kim said. ‘They’re gonna grow up, they’re gonna see. So my job as a mom is to just make sure that when that behavior is happening, they’re protected.’

Reflecting on her marriage, she admitted that for years she felt a responsibility to manage or soften West’s public outbursts.

She said: ‘I always felt really bad and always protected and always wanted to help him,’ she said. ‘I should’ve stuck it out, I could’ve helped — but this was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility personally. It is so f—— sad.’

The clip suggests that the new season of The Kardashians will once again see Kim at her most vulnerable.
