I’ve seen Oasis and Pulp this year but Cbeebies legend Justin Fletcher’s new live show had me rocking out

An audience filled with millennial parents and feverish anticipation, a show of songs you can’t help but sing along to, and countless moments that make you want to grab an air guitar and rock out.

No, this wasn’t Oasis’s reunion tour. This was Mr Tumble legend Justin Fletcher’s own musical extravaganza – Justin Time to Rock – at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre.

You have to hand it to the CBeebies icon. After over 25 years in TV, working across hit children’s shows like Something Special, Mr Tumble, and Justin’s House, the entertainment veteran still knows how to delight an audience.

His latest show, which opened at the south London venue on October 25 and will tour across the UK until May 2026, follows him and his bandmates, Bubbles, Stix, Cha Cha, and Sunny, as they chase their dream of becoming rock legends.

The story charts their rise from auditions to pop stardom, all while fending off the villainous music moguls Rock Lord and Vulture, who are determined to steal their sound.

It’s 90 minutes long and features a blend of original songs, as well as classics we all know, like Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, and I Am the Music Man.

As I took my seat with my son, it was easy to spot parents likely dragged along by an excitable child, already wishing their Saturday morning were spent somewhere else. But within minutes, they were tapping their toes along to the music, and by the end, on their feet as Justin and co took their final bows.

That’s part of Justin’s magic. His infectious energy and playful charm can have crowds of children grinning from ear to ear, and as a parent, it’s hard not to get swept up in the sheer joy of it all.

Watching him on stage, it’s clear the 55-year-old still gets a huge buzz from making an audience of youngsters so happy, and he even appeared visibly emotional during his final bow to Coldplay’s Fix You, thanking fans for 25 years of support.

My four-year-old son certainly loved Justin Time to Rock, dancing along to every song and begging for an encore as we left the stalls.

As for my review, put it this way. My top show of 2025 is still Oasis headlining Wembley, but Justin certainly proved he’s something special.
