A man was killed after falling from a moving CTA Brown Line train Monday in Lake View on the North Side, according to autopsy results released Wednesday.
The 26-year-old man was found unresponsive on the street in the 3400 block of North Ashland Avenue around 2:40 p.m., Chicago police said.
He suffered injuries on the head and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn’t been released.
Autopsy results revealed he died as a result of falling from a moving train. His death was ruled accidental, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
“There is no indication of foul play or that the person was riding on the exterior of the train,” the Chicago Transit Authority said in a statement.
The CTA said they were working with police to review security camera footage.
