Shohei Ohtani Sends Message to Dodgers Fans at Championship Parade

The streets of Downtown Los Angeles turned into a sea of blue Monday as the Dodgers celebrated their 2025 World Series title with a massive championship parade.

The celebration featured stars from the entire roster, but no moment drew louder cheers than when Shohei Ohtani, fresh off his second World Series win in as many seasons.

As Dodger Nation noted, Ohtani addressed the fans who have embraced him since his first day in Dodger blue.

“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” Ohtani said, smiling from atop the parade float as the crowd erupted in chants of “MVP!”

“It’s unbelievable what this organization has built,” Ohtani said. “Every player here is focused on one goal. And I want to keep bringing championships to LA.”

His words reflected not only his motivation for continued success but also the championship culture the Dodgers have built since signing the two-way superstar to a 10-year, $700 million contract before the 2024 season.

Ohtani’s Historic Postseason Run

Ohtani’s 2025 postseason was nothing short of legendary.

In the 2025 playoffs, Ohtani hit 8 home runs, had 14 RBI’s, 16 walks and an on base percentage of .405.

He also pitched 20.1 innings and had 28 strikeouts while winning two games on the mound.

But his most defining moment came in the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers, where he delivered one of the great single-game performances in playoff history.

In Game 4, he hit three home runs and struck out 10 batters over six scoreless innings as the Dodgers clinched the pennant.

He became the first player in MLB history to record three home runs and strike out 10 batters in a game.

Then, with two home runs and two doubles in that Game 3 of the World Series, Ohtani matched Frank Isbell (1906) as the only other player with four extra-base hits in a World Series game.

He also tied the MLB record for most times reaching base in a single game with nine, setting a new postseason mark and further cementing his place in history.

The Start of a Dynasty

Since Ohtani joined the Dodgers, they have won two straight World Series titles, and the 2025 crown marks the team’s third championship since 2020.

With two championships in his first two seasons in LA and a roster built for sustained success, the Dodgers’ pursuit of a third straight title in 2026 looks not just plausible, but expected.

“Winning here means everything,” Ohtani added. “The fans, the city, the team, we’re all connected. I can’t wait to do this again.”

Next year will mark Ohtani’s first full season back on the mound since undergoing Tommy John surgery.

He only pitched the second half of this season, so we will now get a full season of him at the plate and on the mound.

Ohtani’s message to fans was simple. The dynasty is just getting started.
