‘Human Barbie’ influencer known for 27 surgeries dies at 31

Barbara Jankavski, a Brazilian influencer known as the “Human Barbie” for undergoing 27 plastic surgeries, died over the weekend at age 31, authorities said Wednesday.

A local attorney told police he and Jankavski took illicit substances together in Sao Paulo on Nov. 2, then he realized she was not moving, according to a police report obtained by CNN Brazil.

Jankavski was wearing only her underwear when she was found dead, cops said. She also had an injury to her left eye and marks on her back, the outlet reported.

The attorney was identified by police as 51-year-old public defender Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto. He told investigators he’d hired Jankavski for “sexual services” on the date of her death.

Sao Paulo police are treating Jankavski’s death as suspicious and have ordered an autopsy and toxicology report, according to CNN Brazil.

One of de Vitto’s friends told police that Jankavski suffered her eye and back injuries in a fall earlier on the date of her death. De Vitto told police he did not realize Jankavski was not moving until after she had fallen asleep.

Jankavski had more than 400,000 followers across her various social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok. She used the name “Boneca Desumana” online, which translates roughly as “inhuman doll,” and was often known as “Human Barbie.”

She chronicled her numerous plastic surgeries on social media, but her last post prior to her death came on Oct. 1, after she had been posting routinely throughout the summer.
