<p id=”par-2_67″>NBC is bringing <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/wickeds-secret-musical-tributes-to-the-wizard-of-oz-explained.html/”>the <em>Wicked </em>magic</a> to the small screen with <em>Wicked: One Wonderful Night. </em>The two-hour event at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles will air on Thursday, November 6. It brings together the hit movie’s two stars – <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ariana-grande-cynthia-erivo-break-down-wicked-set-most-difficult-day-filming.html/”>Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo</a> – along with fellow cast members and special guests for a one-time celebration of <em>Wicked </em>and the upcoming film <em>Wicked: For Good. </em></p>
<p id=”par-3_36″>The <em>Wicked </em>special is an “unforgettable night of reimagined musical arrangements, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, exclusive surprises and maybe even a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next chapter of Oz,” according to NBC. </p>

<p id=”par-7_67″>Viewers can expect to see performances from Grande and Erivo, as well as Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Marisa Bode, Ethan Slater, and Bowen Yang. Unfortunately, recently crowned <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/5-times-jonathan-bailey-stole-the-show-on-screen-and-off.html/”>“Sexiest Man Alive” Jonathan Bailey</a>, who plays Prince Fiyero in <em>Wicked </em>and <em>Wicked: For Good, </em>won’t appear. His absence leads to a standoff between Yang and Slater, who are competing to be Fiyero’s understudy in a <a href=”https://youtu.be/aKMs6kQAkTE?si=Wt-9vqh0wXwXlwWg”>teaser for the special</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-8_30″>Fans who tune in will also hear special previews of two brand new songs written especially for the new movie: “No Place Like Home” and “The Girl in the Bubble.” </p>
