Clippers’ Bradley Beal Responds to Hate After Horrible Game

For the first time since joining the Los Angeles Clippers, Bradley Beal played a game in Phoenix. In the offseason, Beal was bought out by the Suns so he could sign a new deal with a new team. That’s what he did, signing a two-year deal with the Clippers.

Beal was thrust into a tough situation against the Suns, as neither James Harden nor Kawhi Leonard played in the game. That meant Beal was relied upon to be the main source of offense. That did not work out very well, as Beal scored just five points on 2-14 shooting.

Throughout the course of the game, Beal was booed by the crowd every time he touched the basketball. He was asked about the reaction that the fans gave to him after the game, and Beal didn’t seem phased.

Los Angeles Clippers Guard Bradley Not Worried With Hate

Bradley talked to Duane Rankin of AZ Central after the game, sharing that he wasn’t worried about the boos he heard during the game.

“It was another game. I think ya’ll probably are going to blast it a little more than I am, but it was another game. You got fans that didn’t like me here. You got fans that did like I was here. You can’t please everybody. I learned at a very young age. You drive yourself crazy trying to make everybody happy. I’ve enjoyed my time here. I’ve enjoyed playing for this organization. They made a decision. Move on.”

Beal isn’t worried about what the Suns fans think about him. He is more focused on the present and the future with the Clippers. The start to the season for him hasn’t gone well, as he is averaging just eight points per game.

The Clippers are tied for 10th in the Western Conference standings. Injuries have played a part in LA’s poor start. Leonard has missed each of the last two games, while Harden missed his first game of the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers Are Digging a Deep Hole

Los Angeles is digging a deep hole in a very competitive Western Conference. There are several off-court distractions that might be affecting the team, including the Aspiration scandal involving Leonard. Recently, Steve Ballmer was sued by members of the company.

Lue has also been rumored to be involved in the poker scandal, too. Those distractions could be playing a big part in why the Clippers have had a slow start to the season so far. The Clippers score the third-fewest points in the NBA, so they need some help from Beal.

Neither Leonard nor Harden should be out with their injuries long-term, so that should help them score more points. Despite acquiring Beal, John Collins, and Brook Lopez this summer, they can’t seem to find an offensive rhythm.

The Clippers need to have their guys step up if they are going to make the playoffs. Beal is off to the worst start of his career, so they need him to turn things around in a hurry.
