<p id=”par-2_69″>On Nov. 9, Rain shared a video on her social media accounts that quickly went viral. In it, she offered assistance to people whose SNAP benefits have been delayed. The clip garnered millions of views, more than 75,000 likes on Instagram, and over 71,000 likes on <a href=”https://x.com/sophieraiin/status/1987610438624743666″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>X.com</a>. Rain shared, “I used to live off food stamps, so I get it. This week, I’m gonna be paying for people’s groceries.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_85″>“Didn’t think I’d be Instacarting groceries to Uber this week, but here we are,” Rain told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I get hundreds of payment requests a day, but seeing a verified <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/big-brother-24-uber-shouting-out-jaylor.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Uber account</a> with crying emojis and a PayPal handle threw me. At first, I thought someone hacked their account. Then I realized, no, this is probably just an underpaid intern trying to get fed like the rest of us. So I sent the money. What else am I gonna do, let Uber go hungry?”</p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>After that, Rain replied to the ride-share company writing, “Uber you better start paying your social media interns more because this is CRAZY.” In a second post, she confirmed a $250 transfer to the account linked to “samyo,” writing, “got you tho samy.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_38″>“If your social media intern is out here publicly asking OnlyFans girls for help with groceries, maybe your company should take a break from the self-driving cars and pay them a livable wage. Just a thought,” Rain said.</p>
<p id=”par-7_13″>Uber’s post was later deleted, but screenshots of the exchange were reposted. </p>

<p id=”par-9_39″>Commenters gushed, “You’re a beacon of kindness in chaotic times” and “This is what using your platform looks like.” Others wrote, “This is so sweet,” “What a kind soul you are … God Bless,” and “She’s the real one!</p>
<p id=”par-10_32″>When someone suggested Rain could send payments to local food banks instead of individuals, she explained, “I did that last month donated over $100,000 just wanted to try something new this time.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_41″>Public receipts show transactions of $200 to $275 labeled with notes like “grocery help — team Sophie.” In one case, she responded to a homeless person in Colorado by sending $200. Another recipient, who doubted they’d be selected, received $275 within hours.</p>
<p id=”par-12_43″>In her video, Rain urged other influencers to follow her lead and send a little help to those who need it. The 21-year-old said, “I’m hoping this inspires other creators to step up because we are in a position to make a change.”</p>
