<p id=”par-1_33″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/much-older-cristiano-ronaldo-georgina-rodriguez.html/”>Cristiano Ronaldo</a> was one of the many guests to attend the White House black-tie dinner alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the de facto ruler of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. </p>
<p id=”par-2_40″>The glitzy affair took place on Nov. 18 and included everyone from dignitaries to business billionaires like Apple CEO Tim Cook and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/elon-musk-attacks-jennifer-lopez-staying-silent-amid-sean-diddy-combs-allegations.html/”>Elon Musk</a>, the latter of whom <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/lip-reader-reveals-donald-trumps-reaction-kate-middletons-appearance-princess-greeted.html/”>President Donald Trump</a> had been feuding with for several months prior. </p>
<p id=”par-3_50″>But it was the Portuguese soccer star whom the POTUS personally gave a shoutout to, saying, “My son is a big fan of Ronaldo. And Baron (Trump) got to meet him, and I think he respects his father a little bit more now, just the fact that I introduced you.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_52″>After the event clips made the rounds online, several fans chimed in saying things like even President Trump recognizes <a href=”https://x.com/piersmorgan/status/1991158223370322083″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Ronaldo’s the GOAT</a> and Barron knows Ronaldo’s is the GOAT. But according to an expert, Ronaldo himself does not believe he is, despite what he said in an interview earlier this year. </p>

<p id=”par-5_34″>There is no denying that Ronaldo is one of the greatest soccer players to ever play the game. However, whether he’s the greatest of all time is subjective and therefore up for debate. </p>
<p id=”par-6_20″>In a February 2025 interview with La Sexta, Ronaldo insisted he was the GOAT and listed out his reasons why.</p>
<p id=”par-7_56″>“I believe I am the best player in football (soccer) history; no one was better,” he said. “The numbers say that, I’m the most complete football player that has ever existed. People could like Messi or Maradona, Pele … and I respect it yes, but I’m the most complete and the numbers are saying that.</p>
<p id=”par-8_49″>“I haven’t seen anyone better than me in football history, and I’m saying truth from my heart. I’m fast, I’m strong, I score with my header or with the left, no one has ever been more complete than me. I’m the best player in history. I really believe that.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_51″>But even though that’s what Ronaldo said, body language and behavioral expert Darren Stanton, who previously worked as a police officer using his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects and is known as the “Human Lie Detector,” explained that Ronaldo doesn’t truly believe what he’s saying. </p>

<p id=”par-10_108″>Stanton analyzed Ronaldo’s demeanor during his interview with La Sexta and told <a href=”https://www.olbg.com/casino-sites” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>OLBG</a>, “I think he doesn’t seem to feel he is getting the respect he’s due. We see what we call a horseshoe smile, which lasts for less than a fifth of a second, which is an expression of anger. That is the reverse of a happy smile. His eyebrows are pulled together and his eyes are squinting. I don’t think he thinks he’s being held up by others to the legendary status he thinks he deserves but the irony is that he looks like a person who actually does lack confidence in himself in certain areas.</p>
<p id=”par-11_57″>“His body language betrays the verbal content of what he’s saying. I don’t believe that he believes he is the greatest player. I think it’s all front. We see that increase in blink rate which is linked to anxiety, the shoulder shrug, the horseshoe smile, and he’s not actually a very good person at masking his emotions.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_55″>The expert concluded that Ronaldo “is a guy that cannot help but wear his heart on his sleeve, regardless of what he’s trying to say with the words out of his mouth. It may all come down to insecurities in certain aspects of his personality and character and how he perceives how he is perceived.”</p>
