The newly-named Lady Victoria shared the footage on her Instagram, which showed her sitting in her comfies on the sofa and singing, while her third child, Cruz, played the song on guitar. As the video progressed, the sweet moment took a funnier turn, as David offered his own (questionable) falsetto as he filmed his wife and son. (Picture: Instagram)
However, adorable von Trapp effort aside, eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that the video also revealed a strict Beckham house rule. At the start of the video, two of the family dogs could be seen at the foot of the sofa, looking up at Victoria and wagging their tails. As Cruz played the intro to the song, one of the pooches tried to jump up onto the sofa. But, Victoria wasn’t having any of it. (Picture: Instagram)
‘Get down,’ she was heard saying, as she gently nudged the dog from the sofa. While to some this may seem harsh, the soft furnishings in the Beckham household likely add up to a pretty penny (the couple have a reported combined net worth of £500 million, remember). So we’re guessing the fashion designer is keen to avoid paw prints on her sofa at all costs. (Picture: Instagram)
For those unaware, Victoria and David bought their Victorian Grade-II listed mansion in the affluent Holland Park area for £31.5 million back in 2013. The couple reportedly spent an additional £8 million on renovations before moving in in 2016. It’s now reportedly worth a cool £50 million. The six-bedroom home, in the exclusive area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is something most of us dream of. Not only does it have an exquisite exterior, but it also features an indoor pool, a spa, a gym, a cinema, a wine cellar, a nail bar, and a catwalk-style runway. (Picture: Getty Images)
With so much space, it’s likely the dogs have their own quarters, too. Either that, or they’ve taken over the Beckhams’ oldest son, Brooklyn’s separate quarters, after he permanently relocated to the US. Earlier this year, the 26-year-old reportedly purchased a whopping $10,500,000 (£7,800,000) mansion in Los Angeles with his wife, Nicola Peltz. (Picture: Getty Images)
The two haven’t been on the best of terms with Victoria and David since their wedding in 2022. However, Brooklyn and Nicola are apparently willing to end their ‘feud’ with his parents – but are requesting an apology. (Picture: Getty Images)
This isn’t the first time the Beckhams have gone public with their house rules, though. Back in April, David told People magazine that there are strictly no phones at the dinner table. While they enjoy music in the background at meal times, electronic devices are forbidden — even for the oldest members of the family. ‘There’s music, but no screens,’ said the former footballer, who was recently knighted.
