Rams Add Multiple Playmakers in Late Flurry of Week 12 Roster Moves

The Los Angeles Rams once again got active with their roster. The last comes with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on tap for “Sunday Night Football” in Week 12. LA added a trio of young players who should help bolster their group.

Only one of the three additions has NFL regular-season experience, but they are all familiar with the Rams’ schemes.

The Rams announced with a post on X on November 22 that they “Activated ILB Elias Neal and WR Brennan Presley from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation)” and “Signed S Tanner Ingle from Practice Squad to Active Roster.”

Rams Sign Tanner Ingle to 53-Man Roster

Tanner Ingle

Ingle is a third-year former undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State. He has six games of preseason experience with the Rams. However, he has yet to see the field during a regular-season contest.

“Ingle was a productive safety at NC State and did an outstanding job against the run and holding his own in coverage,” Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline wrote before the draft in 2023. “He lacks next-level size, but Ingle has been a productive kick returner in the past, which could help him capture a roster spot.”

Ingle joins the Rams amid the loss of veteran safety and team captain Quentin Lake. Lake is on injured reserve with a dislocated elbow.

The Rams turned to another former UDFA, Jaylen McCollough, after Lake suffered the injury against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. McCollough could reprise his role in Week 12 against the Buccaneers.

That would leave Ingle to fill a reserve role for the Rams, who have also dealt with injuries at cornerback.

The Rams still have starting safeties Kam Curl and Kamren Kinchens. The injured Lake served as a nickelback with a variety of duties.

Rams Call Up Brennan Presley, Elias Neal

Both Neal and Presley are former undrafted free agents, but there is an experience gap between the two youngsters.

Neal has played in seven games as a pro, all with the Rams, appearing in six contests during the 2024 season and one so far in 2025. He has logged all of his playing time on special teams, where the Rams figure to be thinner if McCullough fills in for Lake again.

Presley has yet to see the field in the regular season. However, he played in all three of the Rams’ preseason games. Presley caught 11 passes for 164 yards and 1 touchdown on 13 targets.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said on Friday that typical WR3 Tutu Atwell is nearing a return from a hamstring injury that landed him on IR, but that is at least another week away. Like with Ingle, the Rams have options ahead of Presley.

Davante Adams and Puka Nacua are both healthy and will once again draw the bulk of the targets from Matthew Stafford.

Presley could also be a factor for the Rams on special teams.

Rams Announce Ominous News

David Quessenberry

Earlier in the week, McVay confirmed that Super Bowl champion and starting right tackle Rob Havenstein was going on IR amid myriad issues. On Saturday, the Rams announced another injury to their offensive line.

“Injury Update,” Los Angeles Rams PR posted on X on November 22. “OL David Quessenberry (groin) has been added to the injury report and is questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. Tampa Bay.”

The Rams signed Quessenberry in free agency during the 2025 offseason

A sixth-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2013, he has played in seven games for the Rams this season. He came off the bench in all of them and mostly played on special teams. He has three offensive reps out of 39 total.

The Rams will turn to Warren McClendon without Havenstein. Still, Quessenberry is the latest in a string of injuries that have mostly threatened the overall roster depth in LA.
