Freddy Brazier has shared a post to his social media in which he indicated that he tried to ‘end it all’ in a car crash.

The 21-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and late reality TV star Jade Goody took to TikTok and Instagram this weekend with a video in which he opened up about his recent mental health struggles.

In a frank photo and video montage, the Celebrity Race Across the World star shared how he had suffered ‘episode after episode’ before spending his 18th birthday in a psychiatric ward.’

This comes a month after he revealed that he’s become ‘homeless’ while expecting a child with girlfriend Holly Swinburn.

‘I love a sofa and an air bed,’ said sofa-surfer Freddy, amid news that he has also reconciled with dad Jeff following their highly-publicised feud.

With Freddy in a healthier, reflective mood, he has shared how he’s now found a sense of purpose after previously attempting to take his own life.

The post began with a generated voiceover announcing: ‘2.5 years ago after crashing a car in a manic episode in an attempt to end it all.’

A caption to the montage read: ‘Started to starve myself and replace food with green [a reference to marijuana].’

A picture of his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, was then overlaid with the text: ‘Prioritised my relationship with my mums mum not knowing she has been lying to me for years!’

In reference to the battle with drug addiction which led to him being ‘sectioned’ in 2023, he continued: ‘Had episode after episode Till I got sectioned and spent my 18th in a psychiatric ward.’

As the montage continued, another caption read: ‘Then something clicked in my head I needed to change!

Revealing how he’d ‘started getting out more,’ Freddy shared how getting away from London, training with boxing lessons and a smaller circle of friends had helped him gain a more positive mental outlook.

The post also contained shout-outs for his ‘doggo,’ healthier eating and ‘self love.’

Last month, Freddy revealed that he was expecting a child with model and influencer girlfriend Holly.

Of the baby news, a source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It has blindsided Freddy and has been one of the things that has really brought him and his dad back together, but it’s so devastating that Jade isn’t here to see it.’

This, in turn, is said to have brought Freddy ‘back together’ with dad Jeff after their feud earlier this year.

The Sun’s source continued: ‘Jeff was one of the first people he decided to confide in to ask for advice, and he stepped up straight away and wanted to help in any way he could.’

Freddy and Jeff’s relationship had soured when Jeff took legal action to prevent his son from seeing his maternal grandmother, Jackiey – with whom Freddy previously lived.

Freddy was then allegedly seen out in South Londonsmoking a joint with his gran. He issued a statement soon after to confirm he was entering rehab for a smoking ‘addiction’ he’d had since the age of 12.

Jeff shared a post about his son’s news, posting an Instagram story in which he and Freddie sat curled up together on a blue sofa.

The proud grandfather-to-be joked: ‘If someone could send me that parenting guidebook, particularly “early adult years the unconventional path” that would be really helpful, thanks [kiss emoji and laughing emoji].’

According to sources close to the family, Jeff has been ‘extremely supportive’ of his son, as have other relatives and friends.

While Freddy and Holly had initially split up after a brief relationship earlier this year, they are said to be reconciling following the baby news.

After describing himself as ‘off the market’ in a post to his TikTok account, Freddy then posed with Holly at October’s Pride of Britain Awards – his arm resting proudly over her blossoming baby bump.

Freddy’s baby will be the first grandchild of Jade Goody, who died of cervical cancer in 2009, when Freddy was only five years old.

‘I think Jade would be a good name, if it’s a girl, after my mum,’ Freddy told The Sun as the news broke.

‘But I have some unique and nice name ideas too. The baby is due next year, in April, it’s really exciting, I can’t wait to be a father. I’m really happy, I want the baby to love its life.’
