One man is dead and another wounded after a shooting in North Lawndale on Sunday night, police said.
The men, ages 23 and 33, were in a car in the 1200 block of South Independence Boulevard about 9 p.m. when someone opened fire, according to Chicago police.
The older man was struck multiple times and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. The younger man was listed in fair condition at the same hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
