The stars of this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here have been forced to evacuate the jungle camp over safety fears.
All 12 of the 2025 campmates were forced to leave the camp and take shelter after huge thunderstorms passed over the area, carrying heavy rain and hailstones.
Filming was delayed by three hours as the celebs, including Kelly Brook, Angry Ginge, and Ruby Wax, were moved to the Bush Telegraph, where they normally give their pieces to camera.
50mm of rain are said to have fallen, which is an amount that can cause flash flooding and pose a threat to life depending on where the rainstorm occurs.
An ITV source said: ‘The camp was drenched and the storm caused filming issues, but everything is fine now.’

The source added (via The Sun) ‘Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp.’

Upon returning to their base, the celebrities were then forced to dry their clothes and belongings by the campfire as others went off to record a bushtucker trial.
On top of the potentially life-threatening deluge, Australia is also famous for its exceedingly large hailstones, which can be as large as cricket balls – this storm brought stones 9cm in diameter.
As if that wasn’t enough, the bad weather can also create the right conditions for leeches to infest the camp – leeches are common on the Gold Coast.

While the I’m A Celebrity campmates took shelter, Brisbane – around 70 miles away from camp – was battered by high winds, heavy rain, and hailstones, with thousands of the city’s residents losing power.
According to ABC in Australia, 107kmph wind gusts were recorded at Brisbane Airport, while trees were brought down and lightning strikes hit nearby mountain ranges.
