Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton Posts Video Marking Milestone In His Recovery

The Indiana Pacers will not have Tyrese Haliburton available to them at all this year. After tearing his Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the NBA Finals last season, he was ruled out before this year even began.

Haliburton has a long recovery ahead of him, and he has been marking his progress along the way. He recently shared with the Amazon crew how he has been progressing during a game against the Cavs.

Indiana is not putting any timelines on his recovery, but Haliburton mentioned that he is a bit ahead of schedule. He showed that by posting a video on social media.

Pacers Guard Tyrese Haliburton Posts Video of Him Dunking

Haliburton shared his progress, posting a video of him actually dunking off of just his hurt leg.

This is the first time that Haliburton has been able to dunk off of one leg. He posted a video five weeks ago of him dunking off two legs for the first time. This shows that he is getting stronger each and every day as he continues his rehab.

Haliburton is ahead of schedule by being able to do this at this point in his recovery. Even though he is ahead of schedule, Haliburton will still not be playing in a game at any point this season. He won’t be back on the court until next year. The goal is for him to be ready for opening day.

The Pacers Will Likely Start to Tank

Without Haliburton, the Pacers have been one of the worst teams in the NBA. They have won just two of their first 16 games. Only the Wizards are worse than them in the Eastern Conference standings. Injuries to the entire team have taken their toll.

Indiana has the second-worst offensive rating in the league. Without Haliburton, they have the worst assist ratio in the league. Last season, the Pacers had the second-best assist ratio in the NBA. Haliburton is so central to what they like to do on that end of the court.

The Pacers are likely going to start tanking pretty soon. Adding a top-five pick to a healthy team next year would make them instant contenders for the championship in 2026-27. Getting Haliburton back would be a big boost to those chances.
