Chicago police release videos of suspect sought in fatal shooting during ‘teen takeover’ in Loop

Chicago police released videos Wednesday seeking to identify a “person of interest” in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy during a “teen takeover” last week in the Loop.

The videos show a male suspect wearing a gray sweatshirt, purple tracksuit, and black Nike sneakers. In one of them, he appears to be aiming a gun.

The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Dearborn Street as young people gathered in the Loop. Armani Floyd, 14, was killed and an 18-year-old man was wounded, officials have said.

Seven other teens were shot nearby less than an hour earlier, according to police.

At least $15,000 in reward money has been offered for information leading to an arrest in the deadly shooting.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Area 3 detectives at (312) 744-8261 or leave an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com.
