Sir David Beckham has lifted the lid on his parenting style in a candid interview after reportedly falling out with son, Brooklyn.

The legendary footballer insists his kids are ‘humble’ and ‘well mannered’ despite living the life of luxury with their famous parents.

For most of this year, the family have been under the spotlight after it emerged there’d been a falling out with their eldest son, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30.

Victoria and the recently knighted Sir David are reportedly now ‘open to hearing Brooklyn’s side of things’ after he called for an apology.

With Brooklyn missing key milestones, it’s no surprise Posh and Becks are adopting a softer approach, as the former England captain discussed on James Corden’s This Life of Mine podcast.

‘I would like to say that I brought my children up with the same values as what my dad and mum taught me and my sisters,’ he shared.

Sir David continued: ‘My kids are very polite. My kids are very well-mannered. My kids are humble and they all have the same values as what I have and my wife has.

‘That’s the proudest thing that we have as parents, in all honesty.’

Their four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14 — have spent time in London, Oxfordshire, and LA growing up.

Sir David said he is ‘different’ with his children to how his dad treated him, explaining he is ‘a lot softer than my dad was’.

‘But there’s certain traits that I do have the same as my dad’, he added.

In his social media posts and regular public outings, Sir David and Victoria have always portrayed a hands on parenting style.

Harper and the boys are regularly seen hanging out at events with their parents, from football games to royal engagements.

Family parties are known to be big affairs, with the whole clan getting together and posting mushy messages to each other online.

When the kids were much younger, he had expressed to The Times that he was concerned they would be ‘spoilt’.

‘The way my dad brought me up, he was strict. I’m exactly the same with my boys. They have their feet on the ground,’ Sir David said shortly after Harper’s birth.

‘We make sure that the most important thing to us is our family and we’re all grounded.’

The Beckhams have not publicly addressed the ongoing feud but a source said Brooklyn and Nicola were ready to make amends.

The couple reportedly will ‘settle for nothing less than a substantive and public apology from his parents’.

In response, a source told Metro: ‘David and Victoria have always wanted the feud with Brooklyn to be resolved.

‘They’d love to have him back in the picture but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship.

‘They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn’s side of things.’
