A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in the 800 block of South Oakley Boulevard on the Near West Side about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Chicago police said.
Police say the shooter approached the victim and shot at him with a pistol.
The victim was struck in the chest. He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police recovered a handgun at the scene, and two people of interest were questioned.
No arrests had been made; an investigation is ongoing.
