The New England Patriots have won 10 games in a row after defeating the New York Giants in Week 13 of the 2025 season, putting themselves closer to clinching the number one seed in the AFC and closer to winning the AFC East for the first time in 6 seasons.
Both of the teams’ losses this season have come from a one score loss, showing that the team will always been in the fight until the clocks strike zero.
Multiple players on the Patriots roster have made a major jump in improvement under new head coach Mike Vrabel. Including a player who signed a $36 million contract extension in the middle of the 2025 season, who is predicted to become an All-Pro this season.
Bold Prediction For Patriots Player

Cornerback and punt returner Marcus Jones was in the final year of his rookie contract, before agreeing to a three-year extension with the New England Patriots after Week 7 of the season.
The two way player has been a key piece for both the defense and special teams for the franchise this season.
He currently 50 tackles, 11 pass deflections, 3 interceptions (with one being return for a touchdown), a sack and has recovered a fumble this season. On the special team side of the ball, Jones has ran for 358 return yards and has two punt return touchdowns.
NFL website writer Nick Shook drops his bold prediction that Jones should be a member of the 2025 All-Pro team after his impressive game against the Giants.
“If Marcus Jones was merely spending his game days as a slot corner, he’d be having a quality season. He ranks 14th in coverage grade among all cornerbacks, per Pro Football Focus, and has made some crucial plays in Patriots wins… That wouldn’t tell Jones’ entire story, though, and Monday night was a reminder of how valuable the former Bill Belichick draft selection has become for New England in 2025,” Shook wrote.
“Jones’ 94-yard punt return touchdown gave the Patriots an early 10-0 lead that felt as if New England had jumped on the Giants‘ backs as soon as they exited the Gillette Stadium tunnel. It was Jones’ second punt return touchdown of 2025, moving him into a tie with [Tennessee] Titans rookie Chimere Dike in an incredibly tight battle for the lead among all punt returners… The difference, though, is how Jones has played a key role on defense for the AFC East-leading Patriots. He’s going to end up with a Pro Bowl nod and just might earn his second All-Pro selection, too.”
Second All-Pro For Marcus Jones

As mentioned, Marcus Jones is currently tied for the most punt returns touchdowns in the league. His 358 punt return yards are the second most in the league, behind Chimere Dike.
The two way player was already a first-team All-Pro player in his rookie season in the league as a punt returner, returning the ball for 362 yards and a score. Jones is set surpass his best season, putting him in a good spot to receive his second nomination.
The New England Patriots defense already has a couple of All-Pros in the defensive backroom: Jones and third-year cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who was a second-team All-Pro in the 2024 season.
With a youthful secondary, the Patriots can continue to add or extend pieces they deem as a necessity in other places on the defensive side of the ball.
