<p id=”par-1_13″>Miley Cyrus is planning to say “I do” to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/miley-cyrus-reportedly-dating-maxx-morando-new-years-eve-show-pete-davidson.html/”>her boyfriend, Maxx Morando</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-2_42″>The pop star subtly signaled that she was engaged when she was spotted with a sparkling diamond ring on her left hand during an appearance at the <em>Avatar: Fire And Ash</em> premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on December 1. </p>
<p id=”par-3_15″>A source confirmed to <a href=”https://people.com/miley-cyrus-engaged-to-musician-maxx-morando-11860211″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> that the “Flowers” singer, 33, and Morando, 27, are engaged.</p>

<p id=”par-4_29″>The <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/miley-cyrus-write-songs-from-hannah-montana.html/”><em>Hannah Montana </em>star</a> and her musician boyfriend have been dating since at least December 2021, when they were spotted backstage at her NBC New Year’s Eve holiday special. </p>
<p id=”par-5_67″>Morando is a drummer for the band Liily. Before that, he was a drummer for the LA punk band The Regrettes. He and Cyrus have collaborated musically, with Morando helping to produce and write songs for her 2025 album <em>Something Beautiful. </em>In an <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DKS99yLyJCJ/?hl=en&img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post, he called it “the sickest project I have ever been apart of.” He also worked on her 2023 album <em>Endless Summer Vacation. </em></p>

<p id=”par-6_23″>After some high-profile romances, Cyrus has kept her relationship with Morando relatively private. But she has revealed some details about how they met. </p>
<p id=”par-7_32″>“We got put on a blind date,” she told <a href=”https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/miley-cyrus-british-vogue-interview” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>British Vogue</a>. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’”</p>
<p id=”par-8_27″>Some people have commented on Cyrus and Morando’s five-year age gap. But she says it’s no big deal, though they do have some differences in their upbringings. </p>
<p id=”par-9_32″>“He looks at life really differently than I do,” she told <a href=”https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/art-books-music/a62870734/miley-cyrus-new-music-interview-2024/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Harper’s Bazaar</a>. “He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_14″>“He’s very similar to me. We just don’t take life too seriously,” she added. </p>
<p id=”par-11_36″>Cyrus was previously married to <em>Hunger Games </em>actor Liam Hemsworth. They split up in 2019 just eight months after they tied the knot. She’s said her relationship with Morando his far healthier than her past partnerships. </p>
<p id=”par-12_68″>“I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me. I had to learn that the hard way because <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/miley-cyrus-mom-insists-right-tell-daughter-stay-wrong-guy.html/”>my mommy taught me the wrong way</a> and then I had to learn the right way by myself,” she told <a href=”https://www.thecut.com/article/miley-cyrus-tish-noah-brandi-family-music-interview.html”>The Cut</a> in a 2025 group interview with her mom, Tish Cyrus, and sisters Brandi Cyrus and Noah Cyrus. </p>
<p id=”par-13_34″>“I had to find someone who treats me with respect and then Mom never really put that on the top three of her must-haves,” Miley continued. “Mom was like, <em>They need to be tall.</em>”</p>
