Sean McVay Gives Major Praise To Opponent Ahead of Week 14 Matchup

The Los Angeles Rams had their six-game winning streak snapped by the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, losing 28-31, putting their record at 9-3.

The Rams are currently one of four teams in the NFC with 9 wins on the season. Los Angeles will need to win out the rest of the regular season to have an opportunity to be the number one seed entering the playoffs and to have a chance to win the division, with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers being two of the teams with 9 wins.

Three of the Rams final five games will be at the hands of a divisional opponent, with the Week 14 matchup being the first of two meetings against the Arizona Cardinals.

This will be the first meeting between the Rams and Cardinals in the season with the second matchup coming at the final game of the season, but it won’t be with quarterback LA was thinking they were going to play.

Jacoby Brissett will be the man behind the center in Week 14, instead of Kyler Murray who was benched earlier in the season after some inconsistent performances and dealing with multple injuries.

“He’ll stand tall in the pocket. He’ll move around. He can still buy time with his legs and he can activate all parts of the field,” Sean McVay said of Brissett. “He’s a hard tackle. He’s obviously very experienced. You can see there’s a comfort in terms of reading with his feet, getting through progressions, recognizing coverage. Just got great overall command.”

“Really impressed with his body of work. You’ve seen a lot of production from the numbers, but once to start to dive into the tape, he’s playing at a really high clip. [He’s] doing an excellent job getting a lot of different people involved. And [Arizona is] pushing the ball and [Brissett] poses a lot of problems. Been very impressed with his body of work.”

On the season, the Cardinals quarterback has 2,188 passing yards and 13 passing touchdowns. With his feet, Jacoby Brissett has ran for 116 yards and a score.

The Rams will need the win to put them back into the win column and help the team secure a bye in the playoffs.

Back-To-Back Road Games

Even though the Rams have lost three games this season, two have them have been on the road. The one loss at home can been considered a road loss with the amount of 49ers fans at SoFi Stadium.

The bad thing for Los Angeles final five games? Three of them are on the road.

The positive for the Rams is that all of the losses have come from a single score, showing that the team is in the fight to win until the end.

Los Angeles will need to fix up the tiny mistakes that have been derailing an otherwise positive season to be able to win the division and be the first seed in the conference.
