Katie Price brands TV presenter a ‘liar’ after claims she was bullied

Katie Price has hit back at Miranda Sawyer after she claimed the reality TV star bullied her and told her to ‘shut up’.

While appearing on a recent episode of The Glue Factory podcast, author, journalist and broadcaster Miranda claimed she once was ‘bullied’ by Katie, and recalled a story when she interviewed her many years ago.

‘I once got bullied by Katie Price, I feel like I should tell you about that.’

She explained: ‘The idea was it was a kind of feminist take of about her, you know, she’s feisty, she’s interesting etc.’

Miranda said she got on a plane from London to Leeds and was stopped at security, where she met Katie.

‘The first thing she said to me was “they only stopped you because you’re scruffy.” And I was like “OK”. Then we did the interview and that was fine, and it seemed like it was going OK. We were going for lunch and I went “Oh I’m quite hungry” something really … and she went “Shut up, no one’s listening”. And I was like “OK!” And I made some kind of noise, and she said “Shut up, no one’s listening”.’ 

However, in the latest episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show, Katie has labelled Miranda as a ‘liar’ and claimed she was ‘using her name’ to get more publicity. 

‘I saw this on TikTok and commented on it saying, “What a liar”‘, she began,’ on her podcast.

She then explained why she didn’t believe that Miranda’s account was accurate, admitting she didn’t remember meeting the journalist.

‘One, I can’t remember meeting her and apparently she was meant to be doing an interview with me in Glasgow at a nightclub but apparently I saw her at the airport and security stopped her and I said “I’m not surprised you looked so scruffy.”

‘When I’m at the airport, I’m not worried about anyone else other than myself getting out. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not rude like that.  And then apparently we all had lunch and apparently I kept saying to her, “shut up, no one is listening”. 

The mother-of-five insisted she ‘would never speak to anyone like that’ and it wasn’t at all in her character, and she was offended even if Miranda was laughing off the story.

‘You know that isn’t me, and even though she was laughing about it but it made me look like a d***head, and I would never speak to anyone like that. 

‘If I’m with you lot – friends and family – we would say, “shut up, who is interested in what you’re saying,” but as banter. 

‘I had to comment under it saying “What a liar”, because I don’t agree with what she said and I can’t remember when it was, who she is, so yeah,  what a load of b******* that is.’

Katie added: ‘Or maybe she is using my name in a podcast to get people to listen, because people love to use my name to promote things.’
