<p id=”par-1_92″><em>Gilmore Girls</em> fans are finally getting something they’ve wished for, at least, sort of. Lauren Graham and Amy Sherman-Palladino are teaming up once again, and it’s for a <em>Gilmore Girls-related</em> project. It’s just not a TV show or a special. Sherman-Palladino, the mastermind behind the series, and Graham, the actor who portrayed Lorelai Gilmore, are penning a book together. The book will be about the beloved series and will be released in 2027. While fans wait, several other titles offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of the show and everything that went into making it.</p>

Two months after Lauren Graham was honored with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/gilmore-girls-castmembers-reunite-celebrate-lauren-grahams-hollywood-star-ceremony.html/”>a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, s</a>he announced her intention to write another book. This won’t be a solo project, though. Graham and Sherman-Palladino announced they are working together on a behind-the-scenes book bout <em>Gilmore Girls</em> together via a publishing announcement by Celadon Books, an imprint of McMillan.</p>

<p id=”par-3_68″>According to the official press release, the still-untitled project will be released in the fall of 2027. It promises to take fans behind the scenes of <em>Gilmore Girls</em>. The coworkers-turned-pals promise plenty of never-before-heard tales, both from the original series and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/tv/gilmore-girls-stars-are-posting-about-stars-hollow-but-a-second-revival-announcement-seems-out-of-the-question.html/”>the 2016 Netflix revival</a>. How they plan to structure the work remains unknown. Lauren Graham, herself, has published two books that touch on her time on <em>Gilmore Girls.</em> <em>Talking as Fast as I Can</em> was her debut memoir and includes anecdotes about her time on the show. Her second non-fiction book, <em>Have I Told You This Already?: Stories I Don’t Want to Forget to Remember</em>, is more focused on tales from her life, but her time on the show does come up.</p>

<p id=”par-5_62″>Lauren Graham isn’t the only star who wrote a book, though. Kelly Bishop, the actor who played Emily Gilmore, also penned a memoir. Her book, <em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/kelly-bishop-reveals-what-she-loved-about-emily-gilmore.html/”>The Third Gilmore Girl,</a></em> takes fans through he entire career, including her time on the beloved 2000s dramedy. The stories are told from the perspective of a seasoned stage and movie actor, and feel insightful and rich.</p>
<p id=”par-6_94″>In addition to the memoirs, there are various companion books, children’s books, and even a few coloring books intended to bring <em>Gilmore Girls</em> fans a bit closer to the action. Cookbooks about the show have also been published.<em> Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook</em> was released in 2022 and offers over 50 recipes inspired by the show. Gilmore Girls: Sookie’s Recipe Book: An Official Cookbook, released in 2025, is a companion cookbook. It focuses entirely on Sookie St. James and the delectible food she served up at the Independence Inn and then<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/kelly-bishop-reveals-what-she-loved-about-emily-gilmore.html/”> the Dragonfly Inn.</a></p>
