<p id=”par-1_62″>By now, you’ve heard about or have already seen <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-team-hates-netflix-50-cent-control-documentary.html/”>Netflix’s new 50 Cent-produced docuseries</a> about Sean “Diddy” Combs. As the disgraced music mogul sits in prison, the streaming service decided to put out <em>Sean Combs: The Reckoning</em>. Diddy’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/sean-diddy-combs-legal-team-threatening-netflix.html/”>legal team tried to stop it</a>, but the project, in which Combs’ rival served as the executive producer, was released on Dec. 2. </p>
<p id=”par-2_25″>The Bad Boy Records founder’s attorneys claimed that the footage shown in the documentary was illegally obtained. They also criticized 50 Cent’s involvement with the series. </p>
<p id=”par-3_56″>A rep for Netflix head Ted Sarandos hit back, telling <a href=”https://deadline.com/2025/12/diddy-threatens-netflix-50-cent-lawsuit-1236633472/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Deadline</a>, “The footage of Combs leading up to his indictment and arrest were legally obtained. This is not a hit piece or an act of retribution. Curtis Jackson [50 Cent] is an executive producer but does not have creative control. No one was paid to participate.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_66″>The <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/50-cent-addresses-ongoing-diddy-feud-documentary.html/”>beef between Combs and 50 Cent</a> goes back several years, after the latter put out the diss track “The Bomb” in 2006. That was followed by some public bashing back and forth, and even spread to their businesses with their competing vodka brands. More bad blood came about after Daphne Joy, the mother of Jackson’s son, Sire, was named a “sex worker” in a 2024 lawsuit against Combs.</p>
